Laura completed postgraduate studies in Cultural and Social Anthropology with an emphasis on documentary filmmaking, Visual and Media Anthropology, Visual Culture and ultural globalisation. Parallel to her work at university she is producing her own films and helds several jobs for both film festivals and film productions.

Tina studied Theatre Studies in Leipzig, Paris and Berlin. She has been working as a freelance journalist since 2003, completed internships in the program departments of the Paris and Bombay Goethe Institutes. Since 1999 she has been frequently travelling to India to research the contemporary Indian film and art scene. She is co-founder and treasurer of the cultural association green chilies e.V. and one of the organisers of the Indo-German Film Club in Berlin.
Maria Römer

Program Japan / Animation / Underground
Maria Römer studied Japanese Studies and Comparative Literature in Berlin and Tokyo. Her research interests focus on Japanese contemporary literature and film. Since 2000 she has been working for numerous festivals and film projects in Berlin. Currently she is curating the Japanese film series Spirited Away in babylon berlin:mitte.
